Nigeria forward, Obafemi Martins, has been voted Seattle Sounders best player for the second straight season, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The pacy hitman also won the club’s Golden Boot award after netting 15 times to emerge the Major League Soccer side’s top scorer for the season.
Martins also notched up six assists in 21 appearances for the Sounders.
It was a remarkable performance for the former Inter Milan of Italy goal getter who spent two months out injured.
Last season, he also won the MLS Most Valuable Player runner-up award.
His exploits in the MLS earned him a shot on the international scene once again as he was recently handed a call-up to the Super Eagles by Sunday Oliseh.
He featured in both legs of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Swaziland.
