Tottenham are hoping to pip Manchester City to the signing of Nigerian strike ace Victor Osimhen in the January transfer window.
Osimhen, who is just 16, plays for Ultimate Strikers Academy back in his homeland, but he looks sure to move on in the new year as a host of top clubs chase his signature.
The youngster has been impressing during the Under-16 World Cup in Chile and his performances have caught the eye of watching Spurs and City scouts.
Osimhen has already fired home nine goals in the tournament, including a hat-trick against Australia, as Nigeria have made it all the way to the final where they will meet Mali.
City and Arsenal are keen but reports suggest that Tottenham have already made contact with his representatives and talks are underway regards a January deal.
