English Premier League leaders Arsenal are reportedly making moves to sign Watford striker and captain, Troy Deeney in the January transfer window.
Deeney has struck great partnership with Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo and according to various English sources monitored by Completesportsnigeria.com, is the subject of a January move by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger who wants to sign a striker for the vacant number 9 jersey.
Deeney has been in the shadow of Ighalo who has scored 14 Premier League goals this season but he (Deeney) has continued his fine goalscoring record this season culminating in a goal streak of five in six games with the opener in the win over Norwich City on the 5th of December, 2015.
The deal according to the reports will see the Gunners splashing about £20m for Deeney.
Arsenal are said to have wrapped up a deal for Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Elneny but the announcement of a four and half year contract for the Basel star is being delayed due to work permit issues.
